Google Earth Engine (GEE) is a cloud-based platform for performing geospatial analyses. MapBiomas Indonesia utilized GEE to perform most of the processing and analysis of satellite images. Landsat images, the main data for MapBiomas, were accessed directly from the GEE’s catalogue. The data were then processed in a web-based Integrated Development Environment (IDE) which was run in the JavaScript Application Programing Interface (API) command.
Several products of MapBiomas Indonesia are stored in the GEE as assets which can be accessed openly via the following link. However, these assets are only accessible to those who are registered in GEE and can open the Code Editor provided by GEE.
